Imageware Authenticate Components
Users can access Imageware Authenticate functions operating as a service through an application provided by a tenant, such as their bank, who might use biometric authentication to verify users attempting to access secured accounts. Alternatively users can access Imageware Authenticate directly as a standalone application. This guide primarily describes the functions of the Imageware Authenticate application running as a standalone app on the user's mobile device.
#
Imageware Authenticate SaaSThe Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model embeds Imageware Authenticate templates into an existing application or system function, such as part of an SSO layer, allowing tenants to provide unprecedented security to protected assets. In this service model, the user is required to authenticate their identity with biometrics as part of a standard workflow before they are granted access to qualified data that is secured by the tenant.
#
Imageware Authenticate User ApplicationThe Imageware Authenticate user application is a simple plug-and-play app that users install on their smart phones. Once installed, users will complete a one-time setup, which is then activated whenever biometric verification is requested by the tenant or whenever a qualifying, predetermined event occurs. The GMI server can be hosted remotely by Imageware or in-house by the tenant. The GMI hosts the biometric database and manages the back-end system calls required to maintain users, set-up authentication parameters, and manage alerts, which are used to communicate with users.
#
Message Templates (Alerts)Located on the GMI and called through API, message templates are used to send alerts and other messages to a tenant's users. The tenant can customize both the text and visual elements of the message templates to provide a seamless, branded user experience as needed.
